Budget bed and breakfast rooms at Waiheke Island’s Tawa Lodge are perfect for guests to enjoy million dollar sea views that don’t cost and arm and a leg.

The Tawa Lodge bed and breakfast wing has three rooms. Each is split level with its own private little lounge with tv and free wifi and stairs to a loft queen bed.

The rooms open off a glassed in verandah with tables and chairs to sit and take in the view or go outside where there are two pergolas for you to sit and enjoy your breakfast looking out over the bay, or perhaps indulge in a glass or two of wine watching the sun set over Oneroa Bay.

The bed and breakfast room tariff includes a generous continental breakfast basket of a selection of cereals, toast bread, fresh fruit, fruit pottles, yoghurts, juice, butter and spreads. And there’s milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided.

Bed and breakfast wing guests can self cater with a shared kitchenette at the end of the wing which has fridge/freezer, bench top oven and stove, large electric frypan and all your cooking utensils. There’s also a free gas BBQ on one of the outside decks.

There is a shared bathroom in the wing but with a maximum of six guests (no children or babies sorry), sharing isn’t a problem.
